A not- so -odd request but a first for me nonetheless!

Approaching me in a panic this afternoon in class, one of my grade 8 female students begged me for a sanitary pad. No embarassment, no awkwardness. I would have rather died than ask my grade 8 teacher for a feminine product!! I am glad she felt free to ask me and I am glad I could bestow her request! In all my years of working with teenagers, I have never had any of them ask to borrow a pad. Glad I was able to "save the day" in the life of this adolescent girl!
